For background, I bought a corded B & D version of this mower in '99 and used it until two years ago (although, as discussed below, I used it often over the past two years I owned.) If I was Sis and BIL. I had a CM1000 for three years (left behind Atlanta), the CM1200 bought two years ago when we arrived in Austin. I also had a Neuton 24V for three years and that other Sis. The corded B & D model for cutting grass and other serious monkey sometimes used during his later years - I really liked the convenience of cordless models, although the corded had a little 'more power. A lot of experience with electric mowers, in other words.

Turning to the B & D CM1836, I have conflicting opinions. By any measure, I see that this mower has more power than any of my predecessors 24V. It is no longer able to "top" S. Augustine, or if the grass is damp (Austin finally got a good amount of rain thisyear - the first return we have confused the reality of the activities of "drought" years). I usually cut the original black, the grass is dry, but after the anniversary of the support of the weather, I approved the new mower in the damp grass and / or hay, which was about an inch better than normal experience. This new mower has problems outlined above this height, when compared with my predecessor 24v models. The receipt is to enable the setting of activities (already resolve this) and added a weak acid strip of grass to accumulate in the engine from bogging down. Of course, a weak acid aisle after effects, at best against the clock and now in the execution of the matrix becomes a problem. I accept to say this new array does not exceed 24V when new arrays. I always let the above requirements matrix air conditioning recharge after shear and usually take a day of cutting average sessions. I am amazed this show no improvement on the 24v 36V archetype archetype of global power, run time or charging time.

Why four stars, you ask? It 'stPatient a great concept and the model is less than 36V at Amazon I paid for my last two models to 24 V (with 10% discount on one of the "big box"). I prefer the old mirrors, but this is pretty easy, too. No button is the second new model (if one is lost) and the tax system similar in many aspects … not better not worse. The new model is "designed", folded at the end supporting the mower on the handle … Not bad, but perhaps dangerous to be around when kiddos while the mower will be stored. This is useful if you plan on changing blades, knives, etc. By the way, does not fit the "old" B & D 18 "blade or a different brand of 18" new model to replace the iron-36V. The new model has a large gazebo and will not accept the old leaves … Of course, no one has yet ordered the new blades. The Zon shows them as available, but with a little 'price premium. It does not hurt, an extra blade (have honed in his spare time) to install (wait a few peopleLSO 'add' mark in 'appearance X' as some mowing … it can be done to the B & D, but not 'factory'). ALSO, as an aftermarket 19 "brand does not fit the CM1200 (go Advanced and get a 18" model if the B & D brand), a "substitute" 18 to use the mark is too large for this mower (again when you get hard to find model B & S). I think I have an insight that a mill:).

All in all we have is to accept the assessment of four stars is about right, although I had to pay to lower the amount outstanding, the 36V. It 's a pity that the "upgrade" to 36V is not fully credible in daily use. I flooded my CM1200 two years for a fair and put it against the $ 150 new. Not bad for a new mower … not only as a "new and better" than I would have gladly accepted.
